Jane Palanis, previous description

The latch on the front door clicks, and a familiar woman slowly walks in. Her salt and pepper hair is a little longer, and on the ear where a crystal had been attached there is a notch in her flesh. Gone are the crisp, powder blue uniform, the bandoleers, offical looking sword and badge. But the simple red tunic and black pants still have the feel of a uniform, and a flintlock pistol and slender sword grace her hips. In one hand she carries a small package wrapped in paper. Although her body language still says 'Cop', it is subdued, and the mask of her profession no longer obscures her face.

Palanis (Major Jane Palanis, Mediquin City Police Department)
(human) offworld mage

The door opens and a woman enters. She is of medium height, stocky, and handsome in appearance. Her salt and pepper hair is close cropped under a brimmed cap. Her neatly pressed powder-blue trousers match the crisp, tall-collared jacket worn over her white shirt. Her knee-high military boots are polished to a high gloss. In a scabbard at her left side is a rather plain short sword, and across her chest are a pair of well-tooled black leather bandoleers. Attached near the bottom of each bandoleer are what appear to be flintlock pistols. She's wearing an large iron ring monocule-style over her left eye.

To those who can see it, the iron ring, one of the pistols, and the sword radiate Power. The woman herself has the aura of a mage of some sort. And from the tips of her see-yourself-shiny boots, to the sharp crease in her slacks, the professional look in her gray eyes, and her very body language, it all says one thing:

Cop.

Confirming this impression is a badge worn over the left breast of the jacket: a five pointed star, with the top point truncated, and an inscription in an unknown language.

The woman looks around, giving the place a once over. Her eyes widen a bit and a surprised look briefly crosses her face. She removes the monocule from her eye and places it in her jacket pocket. She strides up to the bar, her face businesslike.

"Excuse me," she asks politely to the people behind the bar, "I'm Major Palanis of the Mediquin City Police Department. I wish to speak to the proprietor of this establishment."

-Maj. Palanis
